Crowdfunding sounds like a “breeze”; Sell an idea, publish it and watch it be funded by people who also think it's a great product. But yet, the success rate of crowdfunding projects on Kickstarter is below 40%, and even below 20% on Indiegogo. This goes to show that there is much more to crowdfunding than just posting a campaign. Here is a quick guide and tips to a successful crowdfunding campaign.

A guide to crowdfunding success. How to get funded? how to get Backers? what to do set up a successful crowdfunding campaign
You guide to crowdfunding success

1. Build your audience before, during and after the campaign

People seem to think the growth of an audience begins when they click “publish”. However, you should start building your community the moment you have your idea. Share your idea, share your story, let everyone know about your brilliant products before you even think of asking them to contribute to your project. The, once your campaign goed live, keep being active and building that community of true fans. Remember; “crowdfunding” isn’t complete without the CROWD.

2. Start with a bang

Early traction is a very important part of a successful campaign. In general, more people tend to go where a lot of people already are, they follow the crowd. This highlights why you need a strong community before your campaign begins. Starting with lots of support on your launch day tends to give it an extra push and shows other platform users that your product is populair and therefor must be interesting.

3. Always relate with the “why”

The last point of today is your story. Always make sure that what you are selling is the “reason why”. Never stop reminding people what the benefits of your product are and what your drive behind the product is. Share your story, and highlight the benefits of your product to someones life. Do this, and your crowd will grow, and the funds will follow.
